Dates
The hackathon will take place between October 6th to 8th, in person at The Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), located at 8 Ķengaraga Street.
Eligibility
The Hackathon is open to any person who has registered for the Hackathon and worked on the development of the idea during the Hackathon. The applicant must apply by 6th October 2023 by completing the online application form at www.bit.ly/h2future2023.
The number of participants per Hackathon team (hereinafter referred to as "Team") shall not exceed three or more than six.
Project and Submission Requirements
Hackathon participants will have to work in teams, which will be formed/enhanced on the first day of the event.
Hackathon Teams will be provided with mentor and expert support.
All teams will need to submit their Projects in Devpost on the last day of the Hackathon and present them to the jury in person.
Prizes
- The Hackathon has allocated funding for a one-time cash prize (hereinafter – “Cash Prize”), which is the main prize of the Hackathon (hereinafter – “Main Prize”).
- The available Cash Prize fund is 3000 EUR (three thousand euros 00 cents), which is awarded as the Main Prize to the Team or idea author upon the recommendation of the evaluation commission (hereinafter – “Commission”).
- The Commission may decide not to award the Cash Prize if, in the Commission's opinion, the competition's final results are not of sufficient quality
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
- The expected result of the Hackathon is an innovative product, solution, or prototype that addresses a socially important problem according to the goals defined in the challenge.
- Commission members individually evaluate each Team and idea based on the following criteria mentioned in the Judging Criteria section.
